 सीतामढ़ी । रीगा स्थानीय मिल चौक से पूरब तपस्वी नारायण दास महाराज के गेट के समीप एक विक्षिप्त महिला को ग्रामीणों ने जमकर पिटाई कर दी। स्थानीय लोगों के द्वारा बच्चा चोर की अफवाह फैला कर उस महिला की पिटाई की गई। घटना की सूचना पर पहुंची पुलिस ने उसे जांच किया एवं पागल बता कर छोड़ दिया। पुलिस को जाते ही ग्रामीण उस पर टूट पड़े जमकर उसकी पिटाई कर दी ।स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से उसे कार में बैठा कर घटनास्थल से 1 किलोमीटर दूर सुरक्षित स्थान पर ले जाकर छोड़ दिया गया।

बताते चलें कि इन दिनों इलाके में अक्सर बिक्षिप्त महिला एवं पुरुष को लोग बच्चा चोर की अफवाह फैला कर जमकर पिटाई कर देते हैं। संग्राम फंदह गांव निवासी बीकू पासवान(टमाटर) समेत अन्य कई लोगों की मदद से उस महिला की जान बच सकी। अगर समय रहते उसे ग्रामीणों की भीड़ के चंगुल से बाहर नहीं निकाला जाता है तो वह महिला मॉब लिंचिंग का शिकार हो जाती है और उसकी मौत भी हो जा सकती थी।
