Global wealth up 9.8% YoY at US$ 463.6 trillion in 2021; India, China lead the way as on 21 se 2022



Global household wealth increased 9.8% to US$ 463.6 trillion in 2021, driven by widespread gains in share prices and a favourable environment created by central bank policies to lower interest rates in 2020, but at the expense of inflationary pressures, according to Credit Suisse's latest edition of Global Wealth Report. According to the report, wealth per adult (globally) increased 8.4% to US$ 87,489 at the end of the year.

According to Credit Suisse, overall household wealth in India increased by 12% YoY to US$ 14,225 billion in 2021. According to Credit Suisse, Africa, Europe, India, and Latin America accounted for 11.1% of global wealth increase.
